For me it’s always gonna be “Tabula Rasa.” And it’s not even because it has my OTP working together or sharing one small scene at the end where they talk about life and shit (which should happen every other episode, ok?). It’s the UnSub and how the writers handle the issues of memory and identity (which I think is always worth reexamining). I think they balance the human side and the law side of the case really well. It’s one of those episodes that I can watch independently and enjoy everything I love about the show.
You’re welcome! I love those precious moments and thought they should be appreciated by other people as well. And I immensely enjoy your Star Wolf discussions. They make my day actually. So thanks. <3
Who is Derek Hale? (x)
in which Tyler Hoechlin is completely delusion about Derek Hale’s role in Scott’s life
(or maybe just really, really tapped into what Derek Hale wishes he could be)
(the “way cooler than me part” though: oh you little sweetheart <3)
Derek is Obi-Wan, responsible for ignoring the anger inherent in Jackson-Anakin and ignoring his turn to the Dark side. Matt is Dooku, ultimately incapacitated by his supposed-ally; Deucalion is Palpatine-Sidious watching to see how chaos plays out.
Scott is Luke, who Derek must seek out and train while accepting his FAULTS with his previous Padawolf. Because the New Jedi Order permits romance, he and Allison can now be each other’s OTP forever. Stiles is…R2D2? Who pulls plans out of his diminutive-looking self and saving people, but is also incomprehensible to the general population. The series will end with Colton-Vader’s return and redemption.
Deaton = Yoda forever.
Not Deucalion! Deucalion is actually Jabba. Peter, how did I forget Peter. He is totally Palpatine-Sidious, who twists the relationship between Jackson and Lydia to his advantage. Lydia is the perfect Padme: beautifully intelligent, powerful, faithfully served by R2, and undone by Jackson’s weakness against the Dark side.
Erica as Leia who realises her true potential after Scott and Derek come into her lives; Boyd as Han Solo who found himself a family. And Isaac as
Chewie because curlsC3PO who sees everything and too scared to say much, but is willing to lie and fight for those he loves, and has a burgeoning bro-ship with Scott?
Dylan: I never got a scene with Jill, even though the whole freakin’ season I was pitching to Jeff that there should be some kind of scene where Jill or Kate needs information from Stiles and she, like, makes out with him…
Jill: (horrified) WHAT?!
Dylan: …to get the information or something like that. Like she hits on him and tries to seduce him to get the information and it works! To be fair, this seems like a great (“great” = messed up, creepy), totally in-character idea.
Derek would’ve killed her dead so hard after that.
Hoechlin saying no the “punani” but complimenting the earrings - ‘nuff said.
uGH, poor Hoechlin. He’s so nice and classy even though she’s being completely disrespectful.
I don’t get this. what is punani, what is the community?? I’m confused
lmao punani is slang for vagina, and I think the community she was referring to was females. Basically, she was asking if he was into girls. He took it as her asking if her were into her punani specifically, hence him responding with “no, but I like the earrings though”.
I think originally he thought she was asking if he was into the show Community. Basically it’s all a bunch of confusion lol
^ basically yeah
Hoechlin saying no the “punani” but complimenting the earrings - ‘nuff said.
Hoechlin is not into the vagina.
Oh Hoechlin… you’ve been caught motherfucker… YOU HAVE BEEN CAUGHT!!!!
I…
…
orly Hoechlin.
[looks furtively around, whispers] I actually had to look it up to know what it meant. Maybe he didn’t know either? Although he did seem kind of stunned that “that’s where it was going”, which implies he thought it was something maybe he should back away from after saying yes, absolutely previously. And then deflect with the earring comment.
Seriously, the earring thing the funniest part - he’s clearly been trained in polite red carpet chatter and was being nice saying he was absolutely into her community, backtracked when he realized she was going for something more specific, and then deflected with a compliment. I honestly think he was one confused Hoechlin and only knew what he implied afterward when he probably asked around about what he had just done. And was told he had basically just come out as not liking women. Poor Hoechlin, accidentally coming out due to polite confusion.
tbh I think he may know the slang because of the “I didn’t know that’s where we’re going with that” and may be trying to deflect a possible come on? Buuuuut, yeah my ‘maybe he is’ meter basically slid one more notch over, because dubious.
what have i done
I love this exchange between Elle and Reid, because he’s trying to be supportive and understanding and there for her, but he’s unsure of how to do it. She knows he’s trying and she appreciates it, but you can tell that she thinks he just doesn’t get it.
For all those who whine about the lack of Prentiss mentions in S8, what about those of us who have watched 6 seasons since Elle’s departure and no one says one word about her.
Even Gideon gets a token shout-out at least once per season.
yetanothercriminalmindsfanatic:
Elle and Reid’s friendship.
#I really loved their friendship #elle didn’t treat him like he was going to break #she just told him what she thought #and i think that was the first time someone treated him like he wasn’t someone special #so I think that made him feel like she was one of his first real friends #someone he could ask things #and be himself #so after elle was shot #reid tried to help her because she was his friend #and wanted her to feel better and at the same time felt guilty about it #but sadly he didn’t really know what she was going through #and I like to think that after his ordeal with hankel and going through rehab #he called her and told her he finally understood #and maybe they kept in contact after that #and sometimes after a bad day they call each other
I agree. It’s one of the upsides of giving them love interest(s). And their reactions to “the news” are hilarious: Reid reciting statistics on how long before widowed/divorced men start dating again while Hotch just giving one of his death glares. Seeing that MGG directed The Lesson, I wonder if he and TG had discussed that reaction beforehand. LOL
